CNinsure's board has appointed Yunxiang Tang as independent director of the Board following the resignation and end of his tenure from the Board.
Tang has over 40 years of experience in business operation and management and held services at People's Insurance Company(Group)of China Limited(PICC)as general manager.
He also served as chairman of the Board of Directors of PICC Property and Casualty Company,PICC Asset Management Company,PICC Life Insurance Company and PICC Health Insurance Company from 2000 to 2007.
Tang also served Insurance Association of China from 2001 to 2003 as president and from 1998 to 2000 as vice chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.
Tang served in different senior leadership roles in the financial regulatory authorities,including assistant governor of the People's Bank of China as well as head of the PBC Guangdong Branch and chief of State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
